I’m not dead! Not as bad as White Juan a few years ago, but still not great! A few pics from around our house for your time! LOTS of drifts everywhere, some very high....our subdivision road still isn’t plowed yet and we called a plow to clear our driveway - no way we can shovel this stuff....
(Excuse the mix of crappy flip-phone and point-and-shoot camera pics!)
Our basement door as of this morning - we got out through the side door on the deck above. There was a literal sheet of ice over the window on this door this morning from the wind driving the wet snow onto it, the heat from inside melting it and the wind instantly freezing it again. I had broken the ice sheet off in this pic.
Our well crock in the back yard...it’s on a little hill up from the rest of the lawn, usually, and the crock itself is about 60cm high, so that gives you an idea how much we got up here!
Looking down our driveway from the outside stairwell to the deck....stairwell is completely covered, my footprints leading to where I am standing are roughly where it should be. There should also be a half-meter stone retaining wall on the right where you can see those bushes sticking up through the snow...also, the drift across the driveway from the right to left where that shadow is a little further down is.....

The path I managed to walk down to my car...it drifted on the right side of the driveway, so the left side really isn’t that deep somehow.
Obligatory Opponaut ride pictures! Luckily the 90-100kph winds kept my car fairly cleared off., except for....
...the driver’s side (toward the tree line, weirdly?) where a lot of snow stuck. This is how much was clinging to the side as I was clearing it off.
Looking down our unplowed subdivision street - mom’s 2010 Accent sedan is a Kammback now...thanks snow!
Looking across the cul-de-sac. The swath on the left is from the neighbours attempting to plow their long driveway with their 4-wheeler with a plow on it...it didn’t go well (the snow was up over the bike’s wheels in many, many places). They DID manage to eventually plow most of it, but they got their bike stuck MANY times and they had to try clearing it three times during the storm as they knew it wouldn’t manage to clear it in one go after all was said and done. The car-shape blob across the road that is up to its mirrors is our neighbour’s 2009 Saturn Astra 4-door.
Looking up toward the house with bro in the snowdrift again for scale...will be amusing to see how many times the plow gets stuck just trying to clear our driveway!
All and all, with the storm we had on Thursday, plus this one yesterday, I’ve now had 5 days off in a row with school being canceled for the storm Friday, the storm yesterday and the clean-up today. Hoping the D.o.T. can get our road cleared by tomorrow, or I am not sure how I will get my car out to the main road to get to work in the morning!

Sadly, yes, I do. Have to get a new phone in the next month or two though as Bell up here is ending their CDMA network protocol, so I need to find something with e SIM card. Hoping to find a cheap Android with at least version 4 on it....any recommendations? I don’t really want to spend any more than like $130...as I can’t afford much beyond that.

Been an iphone user since I switched from my LG VN251 in Feburary of 2013, so I can’t recommend any Android. I also really don’t have any knowledge of what has an e SIM card in it to begin with.
